Privacy Policy

This policy explains how ShuttleDay (the "Service") handles your personal information.

1. Information we collect

• Account: your email address and display name, and the identifier from another service (such as LINE or Apple) if you sign in with it
• Profile: what you add, such as your icon or photos, bio, sports and level
• Optional information: such as your gender, birth year and month, and injury records, only if you choose to add them
• Activity: what you post and do in the Service, such as creating and joining events, messages, game and gear records, and records about event fees (the fee money itself never goes through the Service)
• Contact and reports you send us
• Device and connection: what's needed to deliver notifications, your OS and app version, error information, your IP address and similar
• Location: used on the spot, for example to show events near you or a map. It is not stored

Photos are shrunk on your phone before upload, without the location or other data stored in the photo.

2. How we use it

• To run the Service: listing, finding and joining events, and contact between users
• To send you notices from the Service
• To check that you meet an event's conditions
• To prevent abuse and handle reports and questions
• To fix problems and improve the Service

3. What other users see

By the nature of the Service, the basics of your profile (such as your display name and icon), the items you choose to make public, and the events and content you post are shown to other users, including people who aren't signed in. Some information, such as messages and fee records, is shown only to the people in that event or group. Each feature shows in the app who can see what, and some of it can be changed in the app's settings.

Optional information (such as your gender, birth year and month, and injury records) is not shown to other users, except where you choose to show it, or to an event's host as far as needed to check its conditions.

4. Sharing and service providers

We don't share your personal information with third parties without your consent, except as required by law.

We use service providers, only as needed, for data storage, sign-in, notifications and email, error reports, and showing the website and maps. We choose providers that protect data properly and supervise them as required.

Some of these providers are in the United States. For the US system for protecting personal information, see the Personal Information Protection Commission's page (in Japanese). These providers have measures in place to protect personal information.

5. Security

We protect your information against unauthorized access and leaks, for example with encrypted connections and access control.

6. Retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile and activity are deleted. For how to delete, and what is kept for a time for legal reasons or to handle abuse, see Delete your account.

To improve the Service, we may record how it is used as totals that don't identify anyone.

7. Your requests

If you ask to see, correct, delete or stop the use of your personal information, we will verify that it's you and respond without delay, as the law requires. Contact us below.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. We will tell you about important changes in the app or on this page.
