The Japanese version prevails.
Playing safely
ShuttleDay is a place for people who join and host badminton events. So that everyone can enjoy the game, we ask you to follow these guidelines. See also the Terms of Use.
1. Respect each other
- Treat everyone as a teammate, whatever their level, age, gender, nationality or disability.
- Be polite to newcomers and to players of a different level.
2. No harassment, discrimination or impersonation
- Abuse, discriminatory remarks, repeated unwanted contact and unwanted invitations are not allowed (Terms 5 and 6).
- ShuttleDay is not for dating, solicitation or sales (Terms 6).
- Do not post about particular people (names, looks, when they come) (Terms 5).
- Do not pretend to be ShuttleDay, an official account or another person (Terms 6). We only contact you from [email protected].
3. Post honest events and keep your word
- Hosts: give the correct date, place, fee and conditions. Do not post an event you do not plan to hold (Terms 3 and 6).
- Announce changes or a cancellation as soon as you decide.
- Players: if you can't make it, leave the event early. After the deadline, tell the host in the chat.
4. Money is between the host and the players
- The host sets the fee, how to pay and the cancellation rules, and you pay the host directly. ShuttleDay does not handle the fee (Terms 4).
- Refunds and other disputes are settled between the host and the players. If you are asked to pay something the event did not mention, or a demand seems unfair, please report it (Terms 6).
5. Safety first
- Don't play when you feel unwell, and take care to avoid injury (Terms 7). Hosts, please look after your players' safety (Terms 3).
- For an injury or sudden illness call 119. If you feel in danger call 110. Call first. ShuttleDay cannot help on the spot. Report in the app afterwards.
6. For ages 13 and up
- You must be 13 or older (Terms 2). If you are under 18, talk with a parent or guardian first.
- Gender and age on a profile are self-declared. We do not verify identity (Terms 2).
If something goes wrong (report and block)
- A person: tap "…" on their profile, or the "…" next to their name in an event's player list, then choose Report or Block.
- A message: long-press a chat message and choose "Report this message". The message is sent with your report.
- An event: tap "…" at the top right of the event page.
- Without the app: use the contact form and choose "Report / safety".
When you block someone, you no longer see their messages and they can't send you friend requests. They are not notified.
We look into every report and take the action needed. We may not be able to tell you what action we took. Reports (including a reported message) are kept for up to 180 days so we can handle them.
If the guidelines are broken
Depending on what happened, we may remove content, send a warning, suspend an account for a while, or close it (Terms 5 and 8). We respond to requests made under the law as the law requires.
We may update this page when needed.
